I have knitted my very first pair of socks.
Lovely, white, light, woolly socks.
And even if I did knit them myself I'm still baffled by the fact that it is possible to knit a sock, a fine, finely shaped sock from just one long string of yarn - using wooden sticks.
The wonders of this world, we live in. (Among which I probably should not count my socks, but still....)

I too have this book, Knitting Vintage Socks, and love looking at the pictures.... I have yet to knit any of the patterns from the book, but must tell you that yours have turned out beautifully! I'm inspired!!
I also like the color of yarn you chose for your Monkey socks - more so than Cookie's shades of green in her pattern photos. :-)
